Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

To create a dynamic image element that displays the selected variants image is simple

Webflow designer
  • Add an Image element or a Div Block anywhere inside of the Product Container.
  • Give it the sf-show-image attribute with value of 1.

The dynamic Product Image element is created.

If you choose to use a Div Block instead of an Image the product images are rendered as background images. Don’t forget to set the background styling properties.

You can also create clickable Gallery Thumbnails to change the displayed Product Image, with Shopify Product Images.

Webflow designer
  • Create a Thumbnail Wrapper element using a Div Block inside of the Product Container. Thumbnail Wrapper doesn’t require any attributes. However this element serves as a parent wrapper to the thumbnail. So make sure you properly style it using Flexbox or Grid.
  • Inside of the Thumbnail Wrapper place a single Image element and give it the attribute called sf-change-image with value of 1.
  • This element is cloned and replaced with the images from your Shopify Product Settings. Make sure the Image element looks fine when it’s cloned multiple times in it’s wrapper element.

sf-change-image attribute is particularly useful for creating a basic image gallery with clickable thumbnails, but it does not include any transitions or navigational features.
